"I originally left a 5-star review because, at the time, I was very happy with the savings. Unfortunately, after several months, my experience changed quite a bit.
My monthly State Farm bills were:
• Month 1: $581.13
• Month 2: $593.10
• Month 3: $669.56
• Month 4: $750.80
• Month 5: $583.51
• Final month: $692.94
I completely understand that insurance can be expensive when you have teenage drivers, and I also understand that rates can change. However, all of the drivers on my policy have clean driving records, and I've never experienced monthly premiums that fluctuated this much with an insurance company.
After becoming frustrated with the unpredictable bills, I decided to shop around and switched to Allstate. My new premium is about $300 less than my last State Farm bill.
I wanted to update my original 5-star review because I think it's important to share the full experience. I'm not upset that insurance is expensive with teen drivers—I expected that. What bothered me was the inconsistency in what I was being charged from month to month.
For me, switching companies ended up being the right decision, and I'm definitely saving money now."

We always want people to know what to expect, unfortunately premiums and billing amounts can change due to rating updates, policy/driver information changes, underwriting adjustments, and differences between billing/discount application on a monthly installment plan. It is very atypical that we would see this many adjustments to an account, and I am sorry that it happened to yours.
